1.) Cancer can be caused by anything that irritates or kills your cells, causing the generation of new ones. Avoid cutting yourself- you might get cancer when it heals!! 2.) Fresh herbs make every food better. Especially drinks and desserts. 3.) Books are Better For Your Head than TV. Possibly also video games. 4.) As long as I hate the patriarchy and support feminist causes, it is okay to enjoy stereotypical girl activities like shopping, cooking, and textile crafts. 5.) Education is the silver bullet. 6.) I would not survive the zombie apocalypse. I would not last five seconds in the zombie apocalypse. 7.) There is no God as we would understand it. 7b.) The universe is, with the exception of a few physical laws, completely random and unguided. 8.) Immigration, and the subsequent mixing of cultures and peoples, is a Good Thing as long as the immigrees are admitted to and given a stake in the culture and economy of the nation. 9.) DIY counts only if you actually did it yourself. Buying DIY, while good in terms of supporting small/local businesses, should not get you points for being cool or creative. 10.) I am probably wrong about a lot of stuff, and would probably handle it okay if you pointed it out to me.
I tag everyone.

I didn't- mostly because of confirmation bias. Also, I freely admit that sociology/pop culture books are low on my reading list. Would you recommend it?

1. it seems like you have the opposite of confirmation bias. like you know that you'll disagree (rather than agree) and that's why you don't want to read it. 2. on my list of irrational beliefs: weather is not dangerous enough to get all worked up about. small businesses are inherently good, though i can't think of one i regularly shop at (restaraunts excluded). -jpz |
