10:46 am - Because I get all my news from Jezebel these days...
Think you've got colored wires growing from your skin? You're not wrong. Maybe.

This reminds me of dreams I used to have of grass growing out of my skin, some sort of airborne parasitic grass plague, or the one with the 'vampire' that looked like an alligator and when it bit you, you started growing teeth from the edges of your mouth around the back of your head... Weird. My dreams these days are mundane (ZOMBIES) and boring (ZOMBIES).

Edit: Goshdarnit, now I'm all itchy. Damn fungus/wires/worms/nanites/tobacco beetles/what-have-you.

I had a bizarre dream last night, wherein I was eating with the fam and my aunt/step-aunt/step-step-aunt Kim spilled porridge on me... and I had a job interview for a management-level position at a huge corporation in the top floor of a very tall building. And I was wearing a band t-shirt and my old faded black and white skirt and nylons and crappy clogs and PORRIDGE ALL OVER THE FUCKING PLACE, at my very-important-high-paying-job interview.
Closest I've ever been to the 'naked in front of the classroom' dream, I swear.

09:01 am - I think...
I think that I must have been drunk
or dreaming, because when I woke
my memories were indistinct
but I think
You let me whisper in your ear
and when my fingers lingered near
you didn't pull away
but I say
I know that I must have been drunk
or dreaming, because when I woke
you were so far from me

I don't think I've ever written anything but love poems. Perhaps it's because every story is, in one way or another, a love story.

Ed: I thought of using 'vague' instead of indistinct, because that would both rhyme with and synch, rhythm-wise, with the following lines- but it makes the 'but I think' (which I really like, for some reason) not work. Advice, anyone? Ahna, oh muse of my musings?

I woke up this morning with a pounding headache. I dreamed about Ellie, who I haven't seen or heard from in any number of years, and German pfankuchen, and blood-sucking gnats that kept attacking me while I was trying to shop.
Big Money is my life right now. T_T Some of the students were flirting with me yesterday and it actually took me about five minutes to figure out, hey, they're about the same age as my 15-year-old brother. Gueh. I'm getting less play than a toddler at a Shakespeare festival.

*chugging water in hopes of exorcising headache*
Current Mood: bitchy
Current Music: Le Tigre, Bedroom Dancing
